The Found Sock Laundromat is a locally owned, self-service laundry in Brighton, MA — open since 2015. We sit at 76 Washington Street, a short walk from Allston, Brighton Center, Cleveland Circle, Oak Square, and Brookline Village, and a popular spot with Boston College and Boston University students who need late hours and family-size washers.

We built this place around three things that matter to people doing laundry: clean machines, modern payment, and zero hassle.

That's why our floors are spotless, why every washer and dryer is brand new, why you can pay with your phone or load a loyalty card with cash, and why we don't make you stand around watching a wash — the FasCard app lets you start machines from your couch and get notified when they're done.

What's changed since 2015

When we opened, the laundromat was coin-operated like most in Boston. Over the years we've upgraded everything customers actually touch:

• 2018 — switched to card and contactless payment, removed all coin slots.
• 2020 — added the loyalty card with 10% cashback that never expires.
• 2022 — installed the FasCard app integration so you can start cycles from your phone.
• 2024 — replaced every washer and dryer with the current Wascomat, LG, and Electrolux machines (up to 45 lb capacity).
• 2026 — rebuilt this website from scratch to load fast on a phone.

Self-service only

We don't offer wash-and-fold or drop-off service. Every customer washes their own clothes — which means you control how it's done, the pricing stays low, and turnaround is instant (no waiting for someone else to get to your laundry). The trade-off works for most people.
