A laundromat for Cleveland Circle

If you’re in Cleveland Circle and need a real laundromat — not the tiny apartment-building set with two washers that are always taken — we’re a 7-minute drive down Washington Street. Or hop on the 57 bus and you’re a block away.

We’re especially popular with Boston College students, families in the area around Chestnut Hill Reservoir, and anyone living in the larger apartment buildings off Beacon Street who needs to wash a comforter or a few weeks’ worth of laundry at once.

Cleveland Circle residents come to us for

  • Family-size washers. Our 30 lb, 35 lb, and 45 lb LG and Electrolux machines mean you don’t have to chain four small loads together.
  • Phone-controlled machines. The FasCard app lets you check what’s open from your apartment before you walk over.
  • No coins. Tap any credit card, Apple Pay, or a loyalty card that earns 10% cashback every time.
  • Free Wi-Fi, TV, and folding tables. A pleasant place to wait — not a dingy building basement.
  • Late hours. Open until 11 PM, which works for the BC schedule when you remember you need clean clothes for tomorrow.

Getting here from Cleveland Circle

  • Driving: Take Chestnut Hill Ave to Beacon St, then right on Washington St. About 7 minutes with normal traffic, longer during BC game-day traffic.
  • By bus: The 57 bus (Watertown Yard ↔ Kenmore via Brighton) stops one block away and runs every 8–15 minutes most of the day.
  • By Green Line + walk: B Line to Washington Street stop, then about 6 minutes south on foot.
  • Walking: ~12 minutes through Brighton if you’re up for it.

Tips for Cleveland Circle and BC families

  • BC game-day Saturdays (home games against ND, BU, etc.) bring extra traffic to the Chestnut Hill area, but the laundromat itself stays normal — we’re far enough from the stadium that crowds don’t reach us.
  • The first really cold week of fall (usually mid-October) is huge for comforter washes — everyone pulls their winter bedding out of storage. Come early in the day or wait until Wednesday of that week.
  • See best times to visit for the full weekly traffic table.
  • Sunday 11 AM–4 PM is the busiest window. Saturday mornings before 10 AM and Tuesday/Wednesday mornings are reliably quiet.

Good to know before you come

  • Bring detergent or buy a single-load pack at the kiosk (a couple of dollars).
  • For comforters, see our how to wash a comforter guide — the 30 lb fits a queen comforter, the 45 lb fits a king.
  • The touchscreen kiosk lets you buy a loyalty card with cash if you don’t want to use your credit card at the machines.
