The hidden benefits of a laundromat loyalty card (and why $1.50 pays for itself fast)
How our 10% cashback loyalty card actually saves you money — plus a few perks most regulars don't realize.
If you do laundry once a week at The Found Sock, the loyalty card pays for itself the second time you wash. We sell the card at the kiosk for $1.50 once — and the 10% cashback on every wash means you’ve made that money back after spending about $15 with us.
Most regulars use the card without thinking about it. But there are a few less-obvious advantages worth knowing.
What the loyalty card actually does
Every time you tap the card to pay for a washer or dryer, 10% of what you paid is credited back to the card balance. That balance never expires. So your “$6 wash” is really $5.40 once you account for the cashback that lands back on the card.
Three small things that surprise people:
- Cashback applies to dryers too. Not just washers. A long dry cycle stacks up cashback fast.
- The card never expires — and neither does the balance you load on it. If you take a month off, your money is still there.
- You can load it with cash. That’s a big one. We don’t take cash at the machines, but the touchscreen kiosk takes cash and converts it to card balance instantly.
Loading the card from your phone
If you don’t want to visit the kiosk to add money, you don’t have to. Download the free FasCard app and you can:
- Reload your card balance from anywhere with a credit card
- Check your balance any time
- See your transaction history
For new customers, the typical first visit is: buy the card at the kiosk → load $20 cash → use the app from then on.
Why we offer cashback (and why we don’t run other promotions)
A lot of laundromats run “Tuesday is cheaper” or “free dry with paid wash” type promotions. We don’t. We picked one simple thing instead: a flat 10% off everything, every time, for everyone with a card. No coupons, no app codes, no time windows.
That’s it. The math is the same whether you wash on Tuesday at 9 AM or Saturday at 6 PM.
When it adds up
Here’s what cashback looks like over a year for a typical customer doing one large load (45 lb washer + 24 minutes of drying) per week:
- Per visit: ~$10.50
- Per year: ~$546
- Cashback at 10%: ~$55 back on your card
That’s about 10 free washes per year, on top of the convenience.
Pick one up next time you’re in
The card is at the kiosk in the front of the store. Next visit: tap “Buy a new card” on the touchscreen, pay $1.50 + load any amount you want, and you’re set forever.
